Lecturer/Kaiwhakaako - Occupational Science & TherapyFull time fixed term position (12 months), AUT North Shore campus Lecturing opportunity for experienced health professionals with a doctoral qualification and a passion for research and education. Here is your opportunity to work with an innovative and progressive team. As a lecturer/kaiwhakaako in the Department of Occupational Science and Therapy, you will actively engage in the design and delivery of the undergraduate occupational therapy programme, as well as postgraduate teaching, as requested. As the Department is committed to advancing a Te Tiriti-honouring curriculum, you will contribute to this kaupapa through recognition and advancement of responsibilities and obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi, aligned with the OTBNZ Competencies for Registration and Continuing Practice, and within a University and bicultural context. You will also be expected to contribute to the supervision of postgraduate students and be actively involved in research, significantly contributing to the research culture within the Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences at AUT University.
Applicants will be a registered occupational therapist/kaiwhakaora ngangahau, and will hold a minimum of a doctoral qualification in occupational therapy, health or science (or working towards) with a strong clinical and/or academic background. The successful applicant will have a relevant teaching qualification, or be committed to completing a tertiary teaching qualification, as well as a postgraduate supervision programme, within the first year of employment. Candidates will embrace the vision and values of the School and commit to ongoing professional development supported by the AUT staff development programme.
