Nga korero mo te turanga – About the role
Te Kura Toi School of Arts is seeking a full-time Lecturer in Media and Creative Technologies, who ideally specialises in contemporary and interactive media practices and has skills in podcasting and video production. Experience working with industry standard software including Adobe Creative suite is required.
This role will involve teaching relevant undergraduate and postgraduate courses, actively contributing to the School's research culture, and supervising research students.
Salary will be in the range of $87,500 to $104,322 per year based on skills, knowledge and experience brought to the position. This is a full-time role (37.5 hours a week), based on our Hillcrest Campus.

You will have a PhD (or be in the final stages of completion) in Screen and Media Studies or a relevant discipline. You will bring a passion for, and expertise in Screen and Media Studies, actively demonstrate a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and understand how your research could enhance professional practice and community.
You will have experience teaching undergraduate papers, including the ability to lecture to large numbers and conduct small-group seminars, tutorials and workshops effectively. You effectively communicate through innovative teaching methods, materials, models and virtual techniques. In addition, you should demonstrate how your own research aligns with or extends the existing research strengths in the School.

The role of Te Kura Toi School of Arts is to teach at undergraduate, postgraduate and experiential (internship/externship) levels in the fields of Arts, including Environmental Planning, Humanities, Music, & Media and Creative Technologies, and to undertake research in these areas.
