Learning & Organisational Development Business Partner New Zealand Transport Agency – Christchurch, South Island Join our integrated Learning and Organisational Development team within our newly shaped People and Safety Group. Work collaboratively with our HR Business Partners to truly understand our organisation's learning, culture and people capability needs. Permanent opportunities, based in Wellington, Auckland or Christchurch. We are looking for two experienced and passionate Learning & Organisational Development (L&OD) Business Partners to join our integrated Learning and Organisational Development team within our newly shaped Pumanawa Tangata, People and Safety Group. These roles are pivotal to the success of the new operating model as we seek to deliver a different level of value for NZTA/Waka Kotahi. A key priority of the role will be landing a fit for purpose people plans that reflects alignment with our People Strategy along with proactive initiatives tailored to the business needs. Intrinsic to all of this is the need to model and drive consideration for outcomes for Maori and embedding of te ao maori in all we do. Your relationship skills will be second to none as you work with the relevant stakeholders and colleagues to analyse needs, identify gaps, and proactively gather business insights that enrich our L&OD services. You'll have strong influencing skills with a commercial edge to broker the best and most cost-effective approaches to solving business L&OD related problems. To succeed in this role, you will be someone who has strong business acumen and is no stranger to partnering in a complex environment. You will be able to successfully identify the strategic vs operational needs of the business and can build credibility and trust to find fit for purpose solutions for all. Experience in partnering across large, complex and/or government organisations is highly desirable. Broad experience in Learning and Development, Organisational Development, and/or partnering within HR. Proven track record in effective stakeholder relationship management in a complex environment and within a service delivery context. Highly skilled in performance consulting with a commercial lens and with a focus on outcomes. Demonstrated ability to partner with business leaders to align Learning and Organisational Development needs with business plans and strategies. Experience in influencing within complex environments and across senior stakeholder groups. Effective in managing multiple demands from diverse stakeholders. Understanding of commercial aspects, including budget management and procurement. Proven track record in championing change, gaining buy-in, and addressing resistance. Skilled in coaching leaders and leadership teams to enhance their capabilities. You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Maori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Maori. At NZTA | Waka Kotahi, it all starts with our people.
