Learning Assistant

Teaching Aides & Special Needs (Education & Training)We are seeking a permanent part-time learning assistant who is patient, kind, reliable, and dedicated to helping support children with their personal or learning needs.A key aspect of this role is to provide support for a child who has high and complex personal care needs and to also work alongside children in a classroom setting to support their learning.To be successful in this role, you will:Possess the patience, understanding, sensitivity, and skills to work effectively with children.Have a high level of self-motivation coupled with flexibility and the willingness to undertake a variety of tasks as required.Possess the ability to work both co-operatively and without direct supervision.Be able to maintain confidentiality and be committed to upholding our school's values.The hours of work will be:9.00 am to 3.00 pm Monday to Friday during term time (27.5 hours per week).Additional hours by arrangement.Start date to be negotiated.
The pay rate will be in accordance with the Support Staff in Schools Collective Agreement.
