Full-time - permanent role

The Parking Services Group plays an important role in the City. It supports the City's transport vision, policies and bylaw. The Group encourages the public to comply with payment and parking rules, making it easy to pay and understand the parking system through consistent compliance.
The role
The purpose of this role is to contribute as a key member of the Parking Services management team, leading your team to success in a complex and challenging operating environment. You will play a pivotal role in fostering a high learning and development culture, identifying gaps, and designing, developing, and implementing effective frameworks and strategies.
Additionally, you will build and deliver high-quality training programs to enhance staff capabilities and oversee the recruitment process for front-line positions, such as Parking Officers, ensuring that new staff receive the necessary training to perform their roles effectively.
What you'll bring to the role:
Leadership Understanding: A strong grasp of leadership principles and the ability to design and implement learning solutions tailored to elevate the performance and capability of employees within the parking sector.
Performance and Capability Uplift: Experience in developing plans that drive improvements in employee performance, enhancing overall capabilities, and achieving strategic business goals.
Training Programme Development and Procurement: Expertise in developing, procuring, and managing training programs that meet organisational needs and foster employee growth.
Culture Embedding through L&D: Ability to embed and reinforce the desired organisational culture through targeted learning and development initiatives.
Project Management: Strong understanding of project management principles, with the ability to oversee the successful implementation of L&D projects.
Relationship Management: Skilled in building and managing relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring alignment between training, development needs, and business goals.
Inclusive Training Delivery: Proven ability to deliver training that engages a diverse, inclusive workforce, ensuring that learning solutions are accessible and effective for all employees.
Recruitment Leadership: Lead recruitment efforts from a parking perspective, partnering closely with Talent Acquisition (TA) to ensure alignment with workforce needs and organisational culture.
