We're looking for Learn to Swim Instructors to join our Pool and Leisure Centres teams across Auckland to help achieve that goal!
This is a fantastic job where you don't need any formal qualifications or experience to apply, just a passion for working with our diverse community while also making a difference!
We'll provide the training you need to succeed in the role.
Day-to-day you could expect to work on: Teaching people the basic principles of how to swim (we'll teach you how to do this!)
Maintaining a fun, caring, and safe environment for customers and visitors Being part of an amazing team serving your local community We have 5 permanent part-time opportunities available at our centres, with the possibility of picking up additional shifts.
You will need to be available for one weekday shift and one weekend shift as follows: Weekdays Morning starting around 9:15 am or Afternoon starting 3:15 pm - 3:45 pm Weekend Morning starting at 8:15 am or Afternoon starting 1:15 pm He korero mou: About you You will be a great swimmer and instructor, have a love of water, exceptional customer service skills, and be able to communicate well with members of the public.
You don't need any formal qualifications or experience.
If you do have a recognised swim teacher qualification or previous experience as a Swimming Instructor, that'd be fantastic.
However, we will provide full, comprehensive training that you need to excel in the job.
You will need to be available for Training dates 3 July 2023 - 13 July 2023.
To be considered for this role, you must also be willing to complete First Aid training.

Pay rate: Starting $23.65 Auckland Council is committed to the protection and wellbeing of children.
This role is classified as a Children's Worker role under the Vulnerable Children Act 2014 and is deemed a safety-sensitive position.
As such, applicants will be required to undergo police vetting and a drug test prior to commencing employment.
