Kinetic also operates the highly successful and prestigious Johnston's coach services and SkyBus airside transport services at Auckland International Airport.Our well-equipped Invercargill Workshop is situated on site at the Invercargill Depot and covers maintenance and repairs on our Urban, Schools, SESTA, and Charter vehicles.Leading Hand position:We are seeking a qualified diesel mechanic with experience in fleet maintenance to assist with the smooth day-to-day running of our Invercargill Workshop. This role would suit someone with good people skills, the ability to motivate others, and ensure compliance, quality, and efficiency expectations are met across the workshop.Major functions:Providing direction to workshop staff and implementing plans in conjunction with our Workshop Foreman that meet company expectations.Ensuring that sufficient resources are available daily to provide punctual and efficient bus maintenance services.Completing quality control checks of vehicles to a high standard and repairing those vehicles that don't meet these standards.Keeping accurate records and ensuring compliance is met.Meeting health and safety obligations.Mentoring apprentices where applicable.Skills/Experience required:Ability to manage and provide effective leadership in a small team.Excellent communication and planning skills.Great team player with a high attention to detail.Full class 1 and 2 license (class 4 desired but not essential).Qualified Heavy Diesel Certification.Experience with fleet maintenance in an operational business.Our recruitment process includes a Drug and Alcohol test and a Ministry of Justice check.
