Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the role involves working in a small crew on jobs throughout the Far North but based out of Kaikohe Depot.
Hours of work will typically be Monday to Friday with a guaranteed 40 hours per week.
The Leading Hand directs and controls the activities and operations of a crew on a day-to-day basis, optimising the use of company resources and contributing to the successful completion of contracts i.e.
customers are satisfied, and all targets are achieved.
About you • Class 2 Driver's License • At least 2 years of relevant work experience in a similar role is required, preferable with infrastructure background.
• Excellent communication skills • Have a strong customer and commercial awareness on site • Team leadership and motivations skills to lead smaller teams • On-site team supervision The role of the Leading Hand is expected to act as the technical first line support for day-to-day issues that arise on the field.
The Leading Hand is expected to undertake this as well as performing the normal role as a crew member within their area of expertise.
