We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Leadership Capability Partner to lead, design, facilitate, and maintain key elements of the DOC Leadership Capability Programme.
This is a pivotal role that provides a structured learning pathway for leaders across the organisation, driving leadership development aligned with DOC's culture, values, and strategic objectives.
There will be some requirement for travel for workshop delivery.
Your core responsibilities will include: Collaborating on the design and development of leadership capability programme pathway, ensuring alignment with organisational strategy and P&C objectives.Creating materials to support the programme's implementation, including facilitator resources, learner materials, communications plans.Facilitating and delivering leadership training workshops (virtual and in-person), providing holistic support to learners throughout their journey.Running capability assessments to determine knowledge and inform learning cohort groupings.Evaluating and improving programme components to ensure continuous learning and impact.Partnering with internal stakeholders and senior leadership to ensure the programme is aligned with organisational needs.Building and maintaining effective relationships with external public sector organisations and sharing best practices in leadership development.Contributing to cross-functional teams and collaborative initiatives.Managing project timelines, reporting on progress, and identifying potential risks.Ensuring the smooth delivery of programme components, meeting performance expectations and objectives.Skills and Experience To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills and experience:
A minimum of 3 years of experience in programme design, facilitation, and learning and development.Proven expertise in leadership development, particularly working with diverse groups of leaders in complex environments using a variety of delivery modes.Qualification in adult education or equivalent knowledge from experience.Sound knowledge of leadership development principles, instructional design, methods, tools, and resources.Strong programme evaluation and reporting skills.Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to collaborate, problem-solve, and foster trust across teams.Understanding of the Maori-Crown relationship and the ability to engage with te reo Maori and tikanga in a professional setting.What's in it for you? The salary range for this position is $92,450 - $116,985 with the starting salary of the successful applicant being based on their relevant skills and experience.
Eligibility to work in New Zealand is mandatory – this includes holding a valid work visa that covers the whole period of employment.
