The Opportunity: Are you a dynamic and passionate tourism professional with a love for Otepoti Dunedin?
We have an exciting role just for you!
We're on the lookout for an energetic individual to help propel Dunedin into the spotlight by working with our incredible tourism operators and attracting visitors to our stunning city.
As the Lead Trade Tourism and Product, you'll be a key player in the Enterprise Dunedin team, focusing on enhancing Dunedin's reputation as a top destination.
Your mission is to drive awareness and cultivate the potential of Otepoti Dunedin, ensuring it remains a preferred location for tourism.
Your success will directly benefit our city and contribute to Dunedin's Economic Development Strategy and the Otepoti Dunedin Destination Management Plan.
Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Oversee the planning, development, and implementation of trade destination marketing activities and operator relationships, both local and inbound.
Capacity Building: Collaborate with local and inbound operators to develop new and quality experiences that resonate with our target audiences.
Influence and Advocacy: Elevate Dunedin's profile as a compelling destination and influence trade behaviours.
Brand Alignment: Ensure all activities align with Dunedin's brand values and creative disciplines.
Brand Consistency: Lead trade-facing activations ensuring all collateral and activities adhere to Dunedin's brand guidelines.
Market Insights: Utilise data to identify trends and ensure Dunedin remains innovative in destination marketing and product.
Climate and Sustainability: Help shape the sector's approach to climate change and waste management.
What We're Looking For: Minimum of five years of proven tourism experience.
In-depth knowledge of tourism trade markets and the New Zealand tourism ecosystem.
Demonstrated marketing skills and innovative thinking.
Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills combined with project management abilities.
Data-driven product and campaign development.
