Full time, PermanentWillowsong Steiner Kindergarten in Gisborne seeks qualified, registered ECE kaiako (1 of 3 positions) to join our teaching team on an exciting new adventure of being the foundation teachers in a new rural Steiner Kindergarten in Tairawhiti, Gisborne.Willowsong Tairawhiti is a Charitable Trust established in 2018 by a group of parents. It has grown from a successful playgroup, adult education offerings, craft and handwork classes and a baby circle, and we are now very excited to be opening a 4 day kindergarten.Kaiako who apply will bring a nurturing heart and the ability to foster and spark imagination through storytelling. They will have a commitment to understand and learn the stories of Tairawhiti and the East Coast, hold a strong rhythm, and have a strong connection to nature.We are in search of a very special lead teacher. You will bring leadership and a sound understanding of the Waldorf/Steiner philosophy. This position will work closely and in collaboration with our warm supportive parent-run committee.Experience in a Steiner Kindergarten and/or leadership position is preferred.Role begins March 2025.40 hours per week – 4 days with children and a day for admin.
