About the opportunity: Lead Software EngineerYou will play a pivotal role by leading delivery, managing our engineering team, and contributing to the codebase. This is an opportunity for someone who wants to have a meaningful influence in shaping both our product and our team – you're a human-centric leader who takes pride in building excellent products and delivering them well.
What a typical week might look like:Meet with Lauren (our founder) and Laura (Product & Design Lead) to provide your advice and input on a new featureJump into a call with one of our key customers to understand and solve a particularly thorny bug in our Jira integrationJump into a call with Vivek, our Lead Data Scientist, to chat about the R&D roadmap and upcoming architecture needs for our AI/ML roadmapWork closely with Josh and Emily, our Engineers, to design the architecture for the next featureLead delivery planning by spiking on upcoming features, estimating timelines with Laura, and managing technical implementation plansWrite code and be hands-on across the stack – whether it's building new features, addressing customer support issues, or driving technical improvementsMentor and coach Josh and Emily on their own growth and development goals – you'll be their line managerCatch a roadblock in the feature we're currently building, figure out what that means for our launch date, and then communicate that to Lauren and Christine, our GTM Lead to figure out how to balance the technical timeline with external launch needsMeet with potential candidates for a new software engineering roleBe part of the on-call roster, handling incidents and customer issues with urgency to maintain service reliabilityOur stack includes a React frontend, Dockerized Typescript APIs powering the backend, and data pipelines using Python and Snowflake/Mage, all running on AWS with IaC managed in Terraform.
