Lead Office Administrator/ Medical Receptionist

This is a busy and varied role in a private Oral & Maxillofacial surgery centre, with a range of responsibilities supporting the surgical team with day-to-day administration duties.   Essential Skills: Well presented, friendly and approachable with excellent customer service skills – both in person and on the phoneComputer literacy and proven proficiency with key Microsoft Office applications e.g. Word, Outlook, Excel etcThe ability to work well under pressure with a "can do" attitude Familiarity with health systems and medical terminology would be advantageous but is not essentialAbility to work autonomously as well as part of a teamAbility to maintain focus and prioritise in a busy work environment whilst  maintaining patient confidentiality Previous experience in surgical/dental assisting is highly desired but not essential  Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to: Reception duties - providing a safe and welcoming environment for our patientsCoordinating both internal and external patient appointments Data entry and updating of patient records Greeting surgical patients and processing paymentsManaging the front desk and practice administration duties including practice correspondenceManaging ACC & SGATOS casesManaging insurance claimsBilling, accounts receivable, credit control, and accounts payable - Experience with Xero accounting programme advantageous Booking GA lists and liaising with St George's Hospital /patients/anaesthetistsMaintenance of policy documentsIT management This is a full-time role (approximately 40 hours per week) Monday – Friday between 7.30am – 6.30pm.  Consideration will be given to candidates who are looking for full time hours and the ability to be flexible. Prior reception experience in a health-related field is preferred.
