The opportunity West Wave is located right in the heart of Henderson. We have something for everyone, from a hydro slide, diving pool and wave pool to a steam room, sauna, hydrotherapy pool and 50m lap pool.
As our Lead Lifeguard, you will play a key part in ensuring that all customers not only have a fantastic experience but a safe one.
Your main responsibilities will include the following: Providing guidance on and supporting the delivery of aquatics-based programmes; General lifeguarding duties to ensure customers are safe and looked after; Supporting the Team Leader with day-to-day operations at the Centre. We currently have a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week.
Shifts will be from Sunday to Thursday: Sunday: 5:30am - 2pm Monday: 5am - 1:30pm Tuesday: 1:30pm - 10pm Wednesday: 1:30pm - 10pm Thursday: 1:30pm - 10pm He korero mou: About you It goes without saying that you'll have a passion for aquatics, and you'll enjoy sharing your knowledge and experience with customers and colleagues to improve water safety.
You will be an excellent communicator and committed to delivering exceptional aquatic programmes and providing a high level of customer satisfaction.
Joining an energetic and passionate team, you'll be a keen team player with a flexible approach and be able to take the initiative to help drive a positive safety culture.
You'll need to hold a current First Aid Certificate as well as a Pool Lifeguard Practising Certificate. As the centre operates 7 days a week, reliability and commitment to working early, late and weekend shifts are crucial.
