Be part of an organisation making a difference in people's lives
Welcome aboard! Nau mai, haere mai, whakatau mai
Keen to be part of an organisation that helps build the people who build Aotearoa New Zealand?
We are working hard to support the construction sector that is under the pump and desperate for action. If you are looking for an opportunity where your skills and experience will contribute to achieving positive outcomes, then this role could be for you.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Lead Data Engineer specialist seeking a new challenge to join our Data & Infrastructure Team as part of our wider agile Digital Group. This position will facilitate the development and administration of data throughout the organisation.
You will be designing and project managing our data architecture to move from on-prem to cloud and ensuring our business captures the required data and enabling data-driven decisions, assisting our analysts/developers in building and maintaining our data platforms (both in-house and cloud) and introducing new ways to analyse and maintain data.
You will have 5+ years of experience in Data platform architecture, ETL, data modelling and APIs. Your skills and experience of data dimensions, transforming fact, dimension and aggregate tables will make you a stand-out applicant.
Strong knowledge in SQL, Azure Data Factory, Power BI dashboard development, and storage is a must and being familiar with MS Fabric, Python and Apache Spark will be highly valued. Your ability to bridge the gap in translating technical information into clear business language would be an expectation.
We are passionate about building the people who build New Zealand and helping apprentices become valuable contributors to New Zealand's building and construction industry. We are committed to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and delivering services that meet the needs of Maori learners and their whanau, Pasifika, and wahine. We recognise the need for a culturally competent and confident workforce to deliver effectively on this commitment.
We embrace diversity and support the well-being and safety of our people, and we will provide all the tools you need to succeed, and the flexibility to enjoy a great work-life balance.
If you are ready for a change and keen to make a difference, then APPLY NOW to join our whanau.
