About the role Reporting to the Albany Service Manager, this role will be responsible for supporting and enabling consumers to confidentially embark on a journey of recovery and attain the kind of life they desire.
Other responsibilities include:
Develop meaningful recovery plans and review on a regular basis.Provide informal 1:1 counselling to residents as required.Support the planning and implementation of recovery-based support groups.Actively participate in required internal meetings, supervision sessions/practice reflection sessions and training.Assist Recovery Support Workers with the implementation of actions towards goals as identified on the consumer's recovery plan.This role is part-time (37.5 hours a fortnight), fixed term until December 2022 and based in Albany Fellowship House.
There is a possibility of an increase in hours after this fixed term date.
About you To be considered for this role, you will possess:
Minimum Diploma or University qualification in health or relevant human service discipline.Experience in working in mental health or community services setting.Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team environment, promoting total wellbeing and holistic health services.Experience in facilitating therapeutic groups.Trauma-informed practice skills and the understanding of the impact of trauma and literacy around trauma responses.Ability to facilitate emotional and personal recovery.Ability to hold hope for recovery.Positive attitude towards people experiencing mental distress.Lived experience of mental health recovery or as family members of people with a lived experience of recovery is desirable.In line with Richmond Wellbeing policy, WA Government Health Directions and Public Health Orders, Richmond Wellbeing workers and contractors are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by 1 January 2022 and receive their booster shots when required.
As such, the successful candidate will need to provide evidence of their COVID-19 vaccination status prior to a face-to-face interview.
