The Maori, Communities and Partnerships Group is responsible for building capability across MSD to support the aspirations of Maori and connecting and collaborating to build effective partnerships and community approaches that achieve better outcomes for those who most need our support.
The Lead Advisor is pivotal in driving the Te Pae Tawhiti Work Programme forward, offering high-level advice and steering the development of the Test and Learn opportunities being delivered through the Kotahitanga workstream. This role encompasses leading delivery of the funding model work & guiding the Senior Advisors, managing day-to-day priorities, supervising workloads, and ensuring the efficient execution of technical advice and support.
Responsibilities:
Experience in managing complex projects, demonstrating a strong capacity for critical analysis, strategic advice, and successful implementation.
Experience in the creation and application of funding models for public services is a must.
Proven ability in developing and maintaining high-quality relationships across the business, including with senior management, teams, and third-party providers, alongside managing complex internal and external relationships with credibility.
Proven ability to work collaboratively and responsively in Public Sector settings.
Skilled in strategic and business planning, with the ability to identify opportunities, assess risks, and leverage strengths to provide actionable recommendations focused on continuous improvement and aligning with organizational needs.
Exceptional ability to prioritize in dynamic and complex environments, applying sound judgment to manage competing deadlines.
Capable of translating complex ideas into practical actions and clear communications, securing stakeholder engagement, and foreseeing opportunities to develop workable solutions.
