Mo tenei turana mahi About this role We are seeking a Lead Advisor Privacy & Ethics to provide strategic thought leadership and advice on privacy and information ethics matters across our business. As a subject matter expert, you'll work to ensure the effective delivery of privacy and ethics capability and support, improved privacy outcomes, and improvements in ACC's privacy maturity, culture and performance. Reporting to the Manager Privacy and Privacy Officer, this is a key role within the Legal, Privacy and Ethics function. You'll take the lead on providing expert advice and technical support including specialist knowledge resources. You will work collaboratively with key stakeholders to develop and implement relevant frameworks, guidelines, policies, procedures, systems, tools, training and advice. There is plenty of interesting work to keep you busy, and you'll certainly get the opportunity to showcase your ability to be a mentor in the team and provide strategic advice and systems thinking to business leaders. This is a Wellington or Auckland based role. Ko wai koe About you This role would best suit someone with a significant post qualification privacy specific knowledge and expertise. CIPP, CIPM or CIPT certification is preferred. You'll be able to demonstrate the following: Ability in the gathering, analysis, and presentation of information on issues associated with privacy and customer data protection. Understanding of relevant related areas including data and information ethics, ethical principles, frameworks and issues, data & information management, sharing & security, data sovereignty, risk, assurance & compliance, and technology. Intellectual agility - the ability to quickly come to grips with complex issues, obligations and legislative frameworks, and solve problems with a strong level of critical and reflective thinking skills. Excellent interpersonal, relationship building, influencing, networking and conflict resolution skills. Ability to understand the legislative and regulatory environment governing ACC's activities, with a focus on privacy and ethics. An understanding of Te Tiriti, matauranga Maori and te ao Maori and the knowhow to consider how it applies to your work.
