This is why Cedar Manor Care Home located in Tauranga is searching for a Laundry Worker to join the team and make a real difference to the lives of our residents. This is a permanent, part-time position working around 144 hours over 6 weeks in rostered shifts including some weekends.
Where You Will Make an Impact
Ensuring all care is taken with the residents' personal clothing and returned to owners.
Operating all laundry equipment as specified.
Meeting of daily schedule to keep laundry up to date and advising Manager of any issues that impact on the maintenance of this.
Maintaining clean/dirty delineation areas within the laundry.
Monitoring of linen supplies and advising line manager of replacement needs.
Ensure all residents are treated with dignity and respect.
What About You
Previous experience working in a commercial laundry is preferred, however not essential as we will provide training.
Demonstrate a positive attitude, enthusiasm, strong empathy, and a passion for making a difference to our residents' lives.
You will be a team player, with the ability to work independently, and who is prepared to roll up your sleeves and get stuck into whatever needs to get done.
Have reliable transport or travel arrangements.
Applicants must be legally entitled to work in NZ.
