We are looking for an experienced Landscape Gardener to join our team and help create and maintain beautiful outdoor spaces for our clients.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and maintain seedbeds and growing sites for various plants.Propagate and plant trees, bushes, hedges, flowers, and bulbs.Prepare lawn areas by spreading topsoil, planting grass, and laying instant turf.Maintain planted and grassed areas through weeding, trimming, fertilizing, watering, and mowing.Prune trees and hedges, install plant supports, and ensure proper plant protection.Develop landscaping plans, select appropriate materials, and schedule landscaping projects.Install hardscape and softscape elements, including garden features and structures.Construct gravel and paved areas, walls, fences, pergolas, ponds, barbecues, and garden furniture.Assess tree health, determine necessary treatments, and perform tree lopping and shaping.Use chainsaws and handsaws to trim and shape trees and hedges.Spray and dust plants and trees for insect and disease control, and remove diseased trees when necessary.Plan and construct visually appealing garden landscapes tailored to client preferences.Key Requirements:Qualification/work experience requirement: The candidate should have either of the following:- NZQF Level 4 qualification OR- At least three years of relevant experience.Knowledge of plants, trees, and various landscape construction techniques.Ability to use gardening and landscaping tools, including chainsaws and pruning shears.Strong attention to detail and an eye for landscape design.Physically fit and able to perform manual outdoor labor.Valid driver's license (preferred)What we offer:Competitive salary and career growth opportunities.Work with a skilled and passionate landscaping team.Opportunity to create stunning outdoor spaces.Supportive and friendly work environment.If you're passionate about landscaping and want to be part of a growing team, we'd love to hear from you!
