This role will involve working Monday - Friday, with varied start and finish times depending on site location.Our sites of work are located throughout the Central Otago and Queenstown Lakes District regions, with yards based in Cromwell and Arrowtown. For more seamless integration, we encourage applicants residing in the Central Otago area, which serves as our primary base location.This position requires someone who has a minimum of 3 years' landscaping, building, or construction experience, as well as the ability to act as a site foreman.Construction TasksAll areas of landscaping, but not limited to:Hard Landscaping:Paving (natural stone & pre-cast concrete)Retaining wallsConcrete layingStone and mortar workTimber constructionsIrrigation and drainageLarge pond and water feature installationMachinery operation - Bobcat, small & medium tip trucks, small diggersSoft Landscaping:PlantingBark mulch applicationLawn preparation and laying of ready lawnLandscape maintenance (spraying, weeding, pruning, mowing)Plant knowledge and careForeman Tasks:To act as overall site foreman alongside your team for an assigned landscape jobTo oversee your onsite team to ensure they are working to agreed methods, specifications, time-frames, and budgetsIn conjunction with Operations Manager/Managing Director, liaise with clients which encompasses managing client queries relative to a project, answering questions in regards to client project expectations, and assisting to manage implementation of client's requested changesOversee the weekly completion of your team's administration reporting including timesheets, site reports, and order documentationProvide forward planning management in respect to all required site resources, including but not limited to machinery, products, and human resourcesIdentify potential business leads and provide details where appropriate to Operations Manager/Managing DirectorMentoring and development of all junior site staff, and support of other Site Foreman where they are not the main Foreman of a jobTo manage all site Health & Safety requirementsAt Southern Landmarx, we prioritise teamwork and communication.
