This role is crucial for advancing wastewater discharge to land within the district. The ideal candidate should possess: A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in environmental management or compliance, preferably within local government or consultancy. Proficiency in environmental management software, GIS, and data analysis tools. Strong understanding of New Zealand's environmental regulations, especially the Resource Management Act (RMA), and best practices for land discharge management. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for conveying complex information clearly. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly in environmental impact assessments and compliance monitoring. Ability to conduct fieldwork and site inspections. Strong organisational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and priorities. Familiarity with local regulations, industry standards, and environmental requirements.
