Laboratory Technician

Join us as a Laboratory Technician in Wellington! You will be responsible for carrying out testing on aggregates, soil and asphalt whilst ensuring the continuation of IANZ requirements.
Flexibility is a must, as due to the varied nature of our laboratory activities, night shift and weekend work will be required from time to time.
In addition to the above you will: Be involved in field testing and physical worksEnsure equipment checks are completed before equipment is operatedDevelop test methods and apply existing appropriate international and local methodologyWe're looking for someone with: Demonstrated experience in a lab environmentA relevant qualification in science or civil engineering preferredProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel and OfficeFull Class 1 licence with the ability to drive a manual transmissionAll successful candidates must undergo and pass a pre-employment medical and drug screen prior to employment.
