About the Company:
Ravensdown as a co-operative is all about essential farm inputs, and smart people using smart tools with the latest science in mind and our shareholders' interests at heart.
We are an integral part of the food creation process. We are the only co-operative that tests for, advises about, buys, ships, stores, spreads, measures and maps food creating nutrients and fertiliser in a truly integrated way.
Using technology, science, and smart people, we work in partnership with our farmers to provide the nutrients and agronomic solutions they need, together with innovative environmental products and services.
Through this, we are committed to Smarter farming for a better New Zealand.
About the Role:
As an experienced Process Laboratory Analyst, you will be part of a strong laboratory team based at our Napier Manufacturing site. You'll be responsible for environmental compliance testing including discharge stack, stormwater, and ambient air quality sampling and analysis. You will also be responsible for fertiliser in-process quality control, dispatch sampling and analysis and the maintenance of laboratory quality systems.
The position will be an active hands-on role with manual sampling in the production facility, preparing materials, and solutions, operating and troubleshooting lab equipment, and reviewing data. As a laboratory analyst, you will be able to interpret the process results to works staff with recommendations and any required actions. Along with the rest of the team, you will ensure a quick turn-around time for our customers samples while driving quality and looking to continuously improve the way we do things.
About You:
Ultimately, what we're most interested in is team fit. As a Team we strive for continuous improvement, and this comes from the diverse background and different perspectives brought by each member of the team.
This role does require you to be physically fit as some factory sampling involves climbing stairs and using elevated work platforms while wearing personal protective equipment.

At least 2 years' experience in a commercial laboratory
A science-related degree or equivalent
Practical laboratory skills and an interest in factory processes and chemistry
