Sitting within our broader Pataka Toa – Education & Employment team; our Kura Toa is a newly formed education offering that works to empower and equip our future of tomorrow, today.
Working alongside a broader team of education specialists, our dynamic Kaiwhakahaere plays an integral role in providing exceptional educational support to our akonga (learners), their whanau and broader Pataka Toa group.

Our roles at Pataka Toa is a collective effort, and we work together to facilitate our communities to achieve prosperity.
We believe that education and employment can unlock this door, and that individual, whanau, hapu, Iwi and community prosperity is achieved through innovative thinking, enabling mana motuhake (self-determination) and fostering a strong sense of culture and self-identity.

Ko te turanga mahi | About the role
The Kaiwhakahaere o Kura Toa is a varied role, which is responsible for:
Developing personalised, meaningful curriculum content and education enablement to achieve akonga and whanau collective aspirations,Nurturing professional relationships with educational providers, whanau and our broader networks to ensure that our service continues to advocate, empower and equip our youth,Leading the function of Kura Toa – and its curriculum design, delivery and continuous improvement activities, andFostering opportunities to collaborate and work across our service to enhance and uplift the mana of Te Runanga o Toa Rangatira and Ngati Toa whanau. Of course, you'll be well practiced with:
Curriculum design and delivery for akonga (years 7-13),Relationship management and kaupapa partner enablement,Reporting and compliance of site coordination matters to ensure that we continue to offer a safe and compliant space for our akonga.We want to work with people who love their mahi and want to contribute to our aspirations for our people and communities.
