This planner role provides opportunities for growth and development which can be adapted to suit the individual. You will be exposed to a wide variety of work at Team Mack, setting us apart from larger councils and organisations. To suit this role and our team, you will need to have a can-do attitude, a willingness to learn, and an eye for detail.The core responsibilities of this Planner role include:Resource consents processingProcessing land information memorandums (LIMs), and input into other processes such as project information memorandums (PIMs)Assistance with the District Plan review, as well as review and monitoring of implementationProvide planning advice to public, consultants, and MDC employeesSuccessful candidates will have:A relevant tertiary qualification(s) in Planning/Resource Management, or other relevant degreeBe a member of NZ Planning Institute (or be eligible to apply)Previous work experience in a planning position is advantageous, but not essentialExcellent time-management skillsHigh levels of accuracyKnowledge of and respect for the principles of the Treaty of WaitangiAt Team Mack we have some great benefits including Special Leave ('gifted' leave to attend dental/legal/specialist appointments etc.), fuel card and discounts, local retail discounts, and weekly fruit basket just to name a few.
