Kindergarten TeacherFull time, PermanentWillowsong Steiner Kindergarten in Gisborne seeks qualified, registered ECE kaiako (1 of 3 positions) to join our teaching team on an exciting new adventure of being the foundation teachers in a new rural Steiner Kindergarten in Tairawhiti, Gisborne.Willowsong Tairawhiti is a Charitable Trust established in 2018 by a group of parents. It has grown from a successful playgroup, adult education offerings, craft and handwork classes and a baby circle and we are now very excited to be opening a 4 day kindergarten.Kaiako who apply will bring a nurturing heart and the ability to foster and spark imagination through storytelling. They will have a commitment to understand and learn the stories of Tairawhiti and the East Coast, hold a strong rhythm and have a connection to nature.We are in search of a very special kindergarten teacher. You will bring warmth and a sound understanding of the Waldorf/Steiner philosophy or be willing to participate in Steiner training.This position will work closely and in collaboration with our warm supportive parent-run committee and the other kaiako.Experience in a Steiner Kindergarten or similar is preferred.Role begins March 2025.40 hours per week – 4 days with children and a day for admin. Pay parity for successful applicants.
