Kuehne+Nagel NZ have a rare opportunity to join our Key Account Management Team. Responsible for traditional key account management tasks and responsibilities, this role sets itself apart from others in the market, by also being responsible for targeting new business and driving growth from existing customers.Your RoleWe are looking for someone who is passionate about looking after their customers and able to build and maintain key relationships. You will be responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day activities of the account, ensuring customer satisfaction and driving process improvements.As well as ensuring we are delivering on operational KPIs and delivering exceptional customer service for your existing portfolio, you will also be required to identify and pursue new business opportunities both within and outside of your allocated portfolio.Your ResponsibilitiesProactively managing and expanding relationships with allocated key customersProvide an exceptional customer experience through effective and efficient responses to customer enquiries and issues, both internal and externalIdentifying and pursuing new sales and growth opportunities within own portfolioIdentifying and pursuing new sales opportunities in the marketDevelop strategies and process improvement initiatives to develop and maintain the overall performance of the accountProvide guidance and support to internal staff & teams, using your extensive knowledge & experience in all aspects of logistics.Ensure accuracy of the setting up and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)Your Skills and ExperiencesA minimum of 5 years' international freight forwarding commercial experience including Supply Chain design and implementationSuccessful track record in international freight forwarding dealing with customersProven ability to think outside the square to deliver creative solutions to a variety of customersHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailAbility to thrive under pressure and work autonomously and in a team environmentCustomer focused and commercially astute with a high level of communication and interpersonal skillsHave strong resilience and the ability to recover quickly from setbacksWhat will we offer you?Competitive base salary + sales incentive schemeCar AllowanceFlexible working arrangements, both location and hours (as agreed with your Manager)Fully subsidised health insurance for yourself and immediate familyFree access to confidential EAP servicesAccess to training, learning and development opportunities as well as career progression in a successful global organisationFlu vaccinations, Christmas gift, birthday cakes and more!*Please note - we will only accept applications from those with current NZ working rights.With over 82,000 employees at some 1,300 locations in over 100 countries, the Kuehne + Nagel Group is one of the world's leading logistics companies.
