It is an experienced thought leader in the outcomes commissioning market and an early adopter of impact investment in New Zealand.The NHC is a Maori-led and culturally driven organization that supports solutions for all whanau, especially those communities that are not well served by health and social services.The role:Reporting to the Lead – Tikanga & Governance, this role is critical in supporting the Lead – Governance & Tikanga by providing matauranga Maori and administrative governance support including correspondence, meeting and travel coordination, draft reports, minutes, and managing the workflow and priorities as determined by the Lead – Governance & Tikanga.As the role works closely with the Trustees and Board Directors, the person in the role is expected to uphold and manaaki the kaupapa by actively contributing to and participating in the organization kaupapa and realizing the values and moemoea of the Trustees.In addition, the role will assist with all external facing events sponsored by NHC or attracting media or social media attention, e.g. Mana Whanau Tohutanga, Matariki, Koroneihana, and NHC whanau sponsored days and other events that may arise.About you:You will be an experienced executive organizer who can think ahead and get the 'stuff done'. Experience in working across fast-paced and complex environments is essential. You will be personable, adaptable, and have great EQ as well as being highly organized and able to work autonomously.In this role, you will embed and implement Matauranga Maori concepts into all areas of the organization by supporting the delivery of matauranga and kaupapa Maori initiatives internally and externally through wananga. The role will assist the Lead, Tikanga & Governance to service the NHC Governors in all aspects of Secretariat and Governance Support including annual report and audit preparation. The Tikanga component will include engagement with NHC kaimahi and may include external stakeholders including Iwi, hapu, and mana whenua.
