We are looking for a new Kaitohutohu Tuara Taiao | Property Advisor in Hamilton.A permanent position based in Kirikiriroa (Hamilton)Supportive and collaborative working environmentSupport whenua Maori landownersKo Te Tumu Paeroa tenei, te kaitiaki, kaitaunaki, kaiwhakawhanake i te mana o nga whenua Maori, huri noa.
So that the foundations of ancestral lands may be solid, benefitting Maori from our past, present and future alike.
This is Te Tumu Paeroa, guardian, support and advancer of the mana of Maori land everywhere.Our role is to provide professional trustee services for Maori.
We do this by carrying out the terms of trusts and ensuring the whenua is protected and enhanced for future generations.The Kaitohutohu Tuara Taiao | Property Advisor is responsible for assisting in the management of a lease portfolio, maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the affairs of associated trusts within the portfolio and ensuring high standards of service delivery.This role requires some travel and occasional weekend work.The main responsibilities of this role will include:Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of leases within your portfolio, including market rates for leases, both regionally and nationally.Arranging and/or completing all lease activities associated with your portfolio, including property inspections, rent reviews, advertising, negotiation of terms and conditions, breach management, and reporting.Build and foster effective relationships with tenants and key stakeholders.Facilitate site access for staff and key stakeholders.Work in partnership with other team members and key stakeholders to ensure all whenua and property related assets are maintained.Provision of expert advice and guidance concerning leases associated with your portfolio as required.Nga ahuatanga kei a matou: What's in it for you?This is an opportunity to join a supportive organisation that values work life balance and career development.

The expertise and fresh perspectives you bring will be valued highly, and will be critical in enabling our vision.The ideal candidate will have:Previous experience in a property role within a medium to large organisation.A friendly and approachable nature, enjoying being part of a high performing team.An ability to build relationships both internally and externally through open and clear communication, both verbal and written.Good time management and organisation skills.Excellent attention to detail, technically savvy with the confidence to navigate multiple systems.A certificate, diploma or degree in Property or Asset Management would be highly regarded as would experience and understanding of the rural sector.Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word and Excel.Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM, SharePoint and/or M365 is a plus.How to apply:You can apply via SEEK or email us on ******.
