Do you have a deep understanding of tikanga Maori and matauranga Maori and are you a confident Te reo Maori speaker? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! Role overview: We are seeking a skilled Advisor in Maori Cultural Capability to develop, implement, and embed Maori cultural practices within our organisation. Your role will involve using innovative approaches to engage with various functions and drive improvements in service delivery, ensuring that Maori perspectives and values are seamlessly integrated into our operations. Key responsibilities: Develop and implement strategies to embed te ao Maori, te reo Maori, and tikanga Maori across the organisation. Engage with different functions within the organisation to promote and integrate Maori cultural practices. Review current services and provide expert advice on improvements to better align with Maori cultural values and practices. Advise on the application of tikanga Maori and matauranga Maori in organisational processes. Ensure adherence to The Treaty of Waitangi/Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles: partnership, participation, and active protection. What we're looking for: Deep understanding of and application of tikanga Maori and matauranga Maori. Comprehensive understanding of The Treaty of Waitangi/Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its principles. Fluency in Te Reo Maori. Demonstrated experience in reviewing services and advising on service delivery improvement/development. Experienced at writing proposal and reports. Ability to plan, organise and execute to achieve outcomes with flexibility and agility. Minimum of a tertiary level qualification or relevant work experience in a related field.
