Location: Mangakotukutuku Campus (Glenview, Hamilton)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Days: Monday - Friday
As a Kaitiaki - Home Based Learning, you will: Organise and conduct whanaungatanga visits for each new cohort of tauira.Confirm tauira enrolment within early withdrawal period(s) for each individual HBL programme.Apply best practice assessment principles when assessing units of learning.Develop, implement and review learning support and pastoral strategies for individual tauira needs.Monitor, manage and report on tauira progress.About you: We are looking for someone who has the following:
NZQA Unit Standard 4098 Use standards to assess candidate performance (Level 4) or NZ2752: New Zealand Certificate in Assessment Practice (Level 4)Certificate in Adult & Tertiary Teaching (Level 4) desirableA Certificate in Adult Literacy and Numeracy Education level 5 (NCALNE)2-4 years experience in an education setting, mentoring, coaching, facilitation or learning support desirablePrepared to increase knowledge, understanding and everyday use of te reo and ahuatanga Maori and support other kaimahi in the same endeavourFull clean New Zealand Drivers Licence and clear Police VetAs a kaupapa Maori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Ahuatanga Maori (values, culture and tikanga) is desirable.
