This permanent,full-time role ( hours per week) starts in January 2025, basedin Mangere.
Your role will include, but is not limited to, developing lesson plans,presenting material to tauira, addressing their needs, and assessing theirprogress.
We encourage Kaiako delivering this programme to engage in rangahau(research) to enhance their teaching.
As this programme is delivered online, itis an ideal role for someone creative, energetic, and has a high competencylevel of administration and computer literacy.
Mou (About you)You will be a confident conversationalspeaker of te reo Maori, possess a deep understanding of tikanga Maori, and bewell-versed in teaching methods that inspire and motivate tauira who arebeginning their journey in learning te reo Maori.Ideally, applicants will have: A Diploma in Te Reo Maori or higher A New Zealand Certificate in Adult TertiaryTeaching (NZCATT Level 5) or equivalent, or be willing to complete it withinthe first year of employment A National Certificate in Adult Literacy& Numeracy Education (NCALNE Level 5) A full and current NZ driver's licenseAsa kaupapa Maori organisation, your willingness to participate in culturalactivities and develop an understanding of Ahuatanga Maori (values, culture andtikanga) will be key.Tonoa i tenei ra!
