In this role, you will inspire and guideour tauira on their journey to deepen their understanding of te reo Maori, toi,and tikanga Maori. This permanent, full-time position starts in January 2025. In this role your responsibilities will include developing lesion plans,delivering engaging and relevant lessons, addressing individual tauira needs byproviding tailored support. You will also evaluate tauira progress andimplement strategies to ensure their success while creating a positive andinclusive learning environment. Mou (About you)The ideal candidate will be skilled in teaching te reo Maori, toi, andtikanga with strong communication abilities and proficient in LMS. They will beself-reflective and able to assess and improve tauira performance. You will bring with you:Diploma inMatauranga Maori (Level 5) or related subjectDiploma inAdult Tertiary Teaching (Level 5) or equivalentEitherattest equivalence or NZQA standards required to assess and moderate thisprogramme OR hold the NZ Certificate in Assessment Practice (Level 4)Full andcurrent New Zealand Drivers' License3+ years'experience working with iwi, hapu or marae projects3+ years'experience teaching adultsProficientwith learning management systems (LMS) , virtual classrooms platforms, andother educational technologiesAsa kaupapa Maori organisation, your willingness to participate in culturalactivities and develop an understanding of Ahuatanga Maori (values, culture andtikanga) will be key.Tonoa i tenei ra!
