This is a fixed-term (12-months), full-time ( hoursper week), based in Huntly.As Kaiako,you will introduce tauira to tertiary education and Maori Art through anexploration of Rauangi.
This programme is crafted to equip tauira with theconfidence and foundational skills for a future in the arts.
In this full-time,fixed-term role, the successful candidate will engage in recruiting prospectivetauira, delivering programme content in line with the approved curriculum,implementing annual and module plans, and offering valuable career guidance tosupport tauira on their educational journey.Mou | About youThe ideal candidate is a passionate educator with expertise in Maori andIndigenous Arts, committed to fostering a supportive and inspiring learningenvironment for tauira.You will also bring the following: ? Te Maunga Kura Toi (Bachelor of Maori Art –L7) with a focus on an appropriate kaupapa Toi (Whakairo, Nga Mahi a te WharePora, Toi Ataata, Mau Rakau, Performing Arts), or equivalent, that demonstratesholding or showing equivalence for NZQA standards assessed in this programmeNew Zealand Certificate in Adult and TertiaryTeaching (Level 5) or equivalentEither attest equivalence for NZQA standardsrequired to assess and moderate this programme OR hold the NZ Certificate inAssessment Practice (L4)Full and current NZ Driver LicenseMinimum two years of proven experienceteaching adult learnersProven experience and expertise in Maori art world with specific skillsin relevant kaupapa toiAsa kaupapa Maori organisation, your willingness to participate in culturalactivities and develop an understanding of Ahuatanga Maori (values, culture andtikanga) will be key.Tonoa i tenei ra!
