We have been in the business for over 40 years and due to this we are a highly respected and well-known company.Role:Junior Quantity SurveyorTo apply for this role, you must hold a Quantity Surveying qualification.Responsibilities:Undertake take offs and price commercial roofing tendersAssist the Maintenance team with quoting and roof inspection reports as requiredAbility to read and interpret plans and specifications and measurements to identify required materialsAssist the Senior Quantity Surveyor and the Project Managers as requiredUnderstand the roofing code of practice to ensure that projects that Harkin Roofing completes meet this codeUnderstand relevant legislation, including the New Zealand Building Code, the New Zealand Building Act 2004 and local by-lawsBuilding site visits as required; therefore, you will need to be comfortable on a building site and on a roofRequirements:An understanding of relevant legislation, including the New Zealand Building Code, the New Zealand Building Act 2004 and local by-lawsNew Zealand diploma in Construction Quantity SurveyingThe ability to read and interpret building plansMaths & basic accounting skillsHard working team player with a great sense of humourEthical and honestAbility to work well under pressureIf you are currently completing your quantity surveyor qualification, we would consider you for this position.For further information and a discussion in confidence please apply now.
