About The Role: We are seeking an IT Systems Engineer responsible for providing prompt technical assistance on systems, responding to queries on basic to intermediate technical issues and offering practical solutions. The role will also help with building IT systems for new hotel projects and upgrading existing systems. This role will be based in Auckland on a permanent basis. The role works to create value for the internal team that will support our people to ensure our guest experience is outstanding. The role requires good technical knowledge and the ability to communicate effectively with the internal team to understand problems and explain solutions. The IT Systems Engineer is responsible for highlighting short/medium/long-term IT issues to the IT Manager or site Hotel Operations Manager and assists in formulating solutions.
Responsibilities:

Serve as the first point of contact for internal team members seeking technical assistance within Hind Managed sites across NZ.
Manage basic to intermediate IT Helpdesk services including responding to and resolving issues in a timely and most cost-effective manner.
Assist with IT projects such as migrations, upgrades, and new hotel IT builds.
Assist hotel operational teams to ensure guests are receiving the best possible services through seamless IT solutions and services.
Ensure security measures are in place and monitor appropriate security procedures for known IT risks.
Understand Hotel Emergency procedures for all worksites and comply with warden instructions when required.
Support team leaders and managers working knowledge of IT solutions within their departments.
Monitor the appearance, standards and performance and licences of Hind IT requirements and update IT Manager on a regular basis to ensure routine maintenance and upgrades are provided promptly.
Ensure communication meetings that require IT support are attended, and provide pre-meeting setup & testing if needed.

Requirements:

NZQF Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2) or Higher.
Must have IT Certification such as COMPTIA A+.
Basic Network Certification – CCNA / COMPTIA Network+.
At least 5 years of working experience with Microsoft Office 365, Windows OS, Active Directory, Exchange, Azure AD.
Minimum 3 years of customer service; help desk technician, IT support role or similar, hotel environment a bonus.
Solid experience with Local area networks; including networking tasks involving VLANs, Routing, DHCP, DNS.
Understanding Fortinet firewalls, policies, and analyzing traffic would be beneficial.
Knowledge of setting up IOS, Android Smartphones and Tablets.
Knowledge & experience in wireless networks, troubleshooting Wi-Fi connectivity issues.
Experience working with patch panels is essential.
Knowledge of Service Management and Operations processes is desirable.
Hands-on experience troubleshooting application issues – essential.
Knowledge on AV systems would also be a bonus.
NZ Drivers license to travel around sites for on-site work.
Experience working in a corporate office environment would be beneficial.
