The primary markets Harvest operates in are agritech and environmental/meteorological monitoring. About the role We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable IT System Administrator to join our team. This role is focused on providing comprehensive technical support to our internal teams, ensuring seamless operation and high efficiency of our IT resources. The ideal candidate will be approachable, solution-oriented, and adept at problem-solving. What you'll be doing As the IT Systems Administrator you will be responsible for supporting our internal teams, including Sales, Field Engineers, Accounts, Hardware, Support, Manufacturing, and Software. The primary areas you will assume responsibility for to facilitate this include: Troubleshooting and resolving IT issuesSystem maintenanceBuilding, configuring, and maintaining workstationsManaging printers and other peripheralsOnboarding of new staffUser training in usage of tools such as SharePointFirewall and network managementVoIP system managementCreating and maintaining documentationCollaborating with other teams to ensure IT needs are being metMaintaining (and where necessary implementing) IT securityIT asset managementProviding excellent customer service to internal teamsMaintaining and configuring security cameras and alarm systemWhat we're looking for NZ Residency or CitizenshipExperience: Proven experience in an IT support role. Familiarity with a variety of operating systems (especially Windows and Linux), software applications, and network protocolsTechnical Skills: Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking. Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issuesCommunication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Office spaces are up to date with improvements such as sit-stand desks and fresh air recycling systems as standard. Staff facilities include a well appointed 225 square metre staff room with a pool table, table tennis table, dart board, couches and two TVs for Sky and the Xbox Series X. The large commercial kitchen includes a commercial espresso machine, a selection of teas and other hot drinks along with fresh fruit are available free to staff. An onsite snack shop is also available. During sunny days there is a deck off the staff room with BBQ, outdoor seating and bean bags. Masterton is a rural town of 30,000 close to Wellington and Palmerston North.
