This team is very stable with strong unity, culture and a strong focus to deliver a high level of software solutions and development design expertise to internal stakeholders in both Auckland and Christchurch whilst working within a larger global team.
The key attributes for the successful applicant will be as follows:
10+ years in the Information Technology industry with a minimum of 7 years of management experience ideally within insurance/financial services industry.Ability to lead and motivate a stable and experienced team of software design specialists with the ability to provide hands-on support with a "lead from the front" attitude.Experience working in a large scale enterprise environment, ideally within a multi-layer global business will be an advantage.7-10 years of technical experience in systems and solutions design, development and implementationSound knowledge and experience in the use of and expertise in distributed technologies, including but not limited to Visual Studio.NET, .NET 8.0, ASP.NET, C#.NET, Extensible Markup Language (XML & XMLT) and jQueryKnowledge and skills with Angular 13 or higher, React, Material UI or similar framework would be advantagesExpertise and experience with RESTful API, JSON and working knowledge of SOAPSound understanding of API technologies, foundations and best practicesSound understanding of Cloud-based technologies and solutions on Azure. Similar expertise in AWS is advantages.Proficient with Git and ADO for code versioning and DevOpsExperienced in managing IT projects & re-engineering activity to transform IT function during and post business integrations & transformationsExpertise and experience with database technologies including MS SQL Server, NoSQL, Cosmos DB, T-SQL and stored proceduresKnowledge and expertise with integration and reporting solutions such as SSIS and SSRSExpertise and experience with database technologies including Oracle, MS SQL Server, PL/SQL and stored proceduresExcellent interpersonal and communication skills are expected with the ability to work with a broad range of internal stakeholders.All candidates must be currently based in Auckland, New Zealand with full NZ working rights (NZ Citizens/NZ Permanent Residents).
