IT Business Analyst (6 months fixed term)We are a Crown-owned company charged with leading and supporting Government infrastructure projects and programmes across Aotearoa.Since being repurposed in 2023, our focus is on supporting the Crown to deliver national infrastructure projects and programmes for a range of government agencies. We take on the day-to-day accountability for procurement and design and delivery of infrastructure and property projects.Reporting to the Head of IT, the IT Business Analyst (BA) will play a vital role in supporting the business for the next 6 months through a period of significant information systems transformation. You will also be supporting the development of a Data Governance framework. Under the guidance and direction of the existing IT BA, you will be responsible for identifying, validating, and documenting software requirements and business processes for new and existing systems.This is an exciting, highly collaborative role where no two weeks will be the same. You'll want to be comfortable working in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment as you work on a range of different topics and projects with different internal and external stakeholders.To be successful in this role, you will possess:Relevant IT qualification and/or a Computer Science DegreeIT or Business professional with a minimum of 5 years BA experienceExperience in the engineering and/or construction sector would be advantageousExperience documenting business processes and workflowsStrong knowledge and understanding of data governance principlesExperience in analysing data, determining data structures, data relationships, and how data may be transformedStrong technical thinking, analytical and conceptualization skillsStrong listening and oral/written communications skillsSystems-oriented and enjoy working with new tools and applications.Your natural ability to connect and quickly foster trusted relationships with various clients and stakeholders will set you apart.
