Long-term contract opportunity for an experienced IP/MPLS Network Engineer City based with an excellent hourly rate Hybrid Working environment We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer for a long-term contract opportunity in Wellington. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and implementing network solutions, as well as supporting multi-vendor network environments. Key areas of responsibility: Network Design and Implementation Lab testing and testing documentation Network Monitoring, Optimization and Maintenance Security and Compliance Documentation and Reporting What you'll need to succeed: Strong foundation in IP/MPLS networking principles. Troubleshot using protocols such as SR/MPLS, OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP in live environments. Practical experience with MPLS, VRFs, IS-IS, BGP-LU, and IGP. Knowledge of network OSS tools (such as Incident Management, Change Management, CMDB, Order Management, NMS, EMS, RADIUS, DNS). Familiarity with Cisco, Juniper, or Nokia. Understanding of VPLS, VPRN, VPWS, and EVPN services. Experience in system administration for Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat) and/or Microsoft Windows Server, including AD and MS Xchange Experience in TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, firewalls, LAN/WAN. Scripting skills in any of the following Ansible, Python, Bash, Shell and SQL What's in for you: Attractive hourly rates. ASAP Start to June 2025 (likely to extend).
