Our Investment team has extensive private-sector capital experience in New Zealand and internationally and has helped hundreds of companies successfully raise capital for growth.
Are you an experienced Investment professional with a knack for guiding companies through successful capital raises, advising on financial forecasts and strategies? We're seeking a seasoned professional to join our Auckland Investment team in a fixed term position.
What you'll be doing | Tewhakamahere
In this 1-year fixed term role, you will work closely with founders and CEOs of New Zealand companies that are raising capital to accelerate their global growth ambitions. This includes developing capital raise collateral, building and reviewing financial forecasts, refining business models, and connecting these companies with prospective domestic and international investors.
This role works across impactful sectors of focus including deep tech, clean tech, SaaS, and climate tech. You'll be working with companies that are looking to solve complex problems on a global scale.
You'll originate opportunities to ensure we are developing a pipeline of exciting investment opportunities and taking these to the world.
What you'll need to be successful | OPukenga
You will be a critical thinker, curious about our sectors of focus. You will have an investment background and understand the complexities and considerations of the capital raising process. We're interested in candidates that have a background in either investment banking, start-ups, corporate finance, debt advisory or relevant legal experience. This role will connect you across the domestic and global capital raising ecosystem and offers strong career potential to develop your investment and commercial skills either within Aotearoa or offshore.
Key Requirements:
Minimum 8 years of experience in the investment, consulting or finance sector.
Results driven, with the ability to multi-task and deliver to a high standard.
Experience in analysing and evaluating financial data and an understanding of financial models.
Exceptional analytical skills, strategic thinking, and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
Strong understanding of global trends and capital markets.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a larger global team.
Experience in investment banking, portfolio management, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and/or capital raising is preferable.
A tertiary qualification in Finance, Law, Economics, Commerce or Accountancy.
