Mo te turanga - About the role As an Investment Analyst in our Funds Management, Asset Allocation team, you'll play a key role in providing research and support for the management of ANZ's multi asset funds and model portfolios. In your role, you will enhance and evolve appropriate models and processes to support superior Strategic (SAA) and Tactical (TAA) asset allocation, analyse underlying asset class managers, and strategy combinations. Role Type: Permanent Role Location: Auckland Ka aha to ra e kite ai? - What will your day look like As an Investment Analyst, you will: Assist in the determination of appropriate strategic benchmarks for multi asset portfolios and ranges. Support continuous improvement of the SAA models and assumptions, and modelling and analysis of the medium term behavioural, economic and valuation drivers of return used in the TAA process. Assist in the review of existing and potential managers in underlying asset classes. Work with relevant teams and systems to ensure timely delivery of risk, performance, and mandate compliance reporting to Portfolio Managers. Support Senior Managers in the preparation of presentations and communication to relevant internal stakeholders on general Investment Management topics and investment strategies. Assist with our Responsible Investing approach, with respect to the Diversified Fund strategies managed internally. Work with the Implementation function to ensure all decisions related to multi-asset portfolios are implemented in accordance with our determined investment strategy. Ou Pukenga? - What will you bring? To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following: Good understanding and experience of the Asset Management industry and business. 2-4 years' experience in a similar role that requires the use of financial modelling skills, including Python, Bloomberg, and Aladdin. Strong Excel, Visual Basic and statistical analysis knowledge required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail and a focus on accuracy; adept at building collaborative relationships. Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, agile environment that requires adaptability. Embraces a growth mindset and values both giving and receiving constructive feedback. Working towards CFA preferred, but not essential. You're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
