About the Role: We're looking for a dynamic and motivated Inventory Controller – Team Leader to join the NZ team of a global machine and materials packaging company, a name synonymous with quality, innovation, reliability, sustainability, and outstanding service. If you have experience in inventory control and warehousing, along with a drive to lead a small team, this role offers significant growth potential. As a key player in the NZ team, you'll be responsible for everything from procurement and inventory optimization to logistics management and planning. You'll also need to be ready to roll up your sleeves and help out in the warehouse when needed – a 'can do' mindset is essential. Why Work Here? Join a secure and market-leading, highly reputable business. Play a crucial role in shaping the future of inventory and logistics operations. Warehouse Support:  Be hands-on when needed – whether it's helping with order picking, quality checks, or forklift operations. Inventory & Procurement Management:  Oversee the procurement of spare parts, consumables, and materials, ensuring stock levels are optimized, shipments are managed, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met. Process Improvement:  Drive initiatives to improve efficiency, enhance customer satisfaction, and mitigate risks such as stock shortages. Reporting & Analysis:  Provide regular reports to management on stock turn rates, inventory performance, and supply chain efficiency. What We're Looking For: 5+ years' experience in inventory control within a fast-paced environment. A positive mindset and team player who genuinely enjoys working in a young, innovative, and highly collaborative team. A strong customer focus, with the goal of exceeding expectations. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; SAP experience is highly desirable. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building effective relationships internally and externally. Physically fit and able to assist in the warehouse when required (FL operation required). A self-starter with excellent time management and organizational skills. Business acumen with the ability to think strategically and execute operationally. Leadership capability, with a strong desire to grow and develop your leadership skills. Background in logistics or operations, preferably with a tertiary qualification in Business, Logistics, or related studies. Additional Information:  This is an office and warehouse hybrid role, based on-site in Wiri. Working hours are 8am-5pm (or 7:30am-4:30pm) with occasional flexibility for later hours.
