WML annually manufactures 150,000+ tonnes of paperboard, catering to a diverse customer base both locally and globally. Positioned for substantial growth over the next 5 years, the company is seeking an experienced International Sales & Marketing Director to drive this effort.WML is actively seeking an accomplished Director of Sales and Marketing to join its vibrant team in Whakatane; ideally the successful candidate will be based locally but we are open to Auckland based applicants. Reporting directly to the CEO and Chairman, this leadership role is pivotal to the company's ambitious growth strategy. The successful candidate will spearhead the sales and marketing team, devise and implement global sales strategies, and contribute to the overall business strategy as a crucial member of the Executive Leadership Team.Key Responsibilities:Forge and implement the global sales and marketing strategy.Lead and oversee the local and global sales team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.Contribute to the long-term business strategy as an integral member of the Executive Leadership Team.Supervise the Sales Management team.Cultivate and sustain business growth through dynamic, profitable customer relationships.Drive accountability and performance within the sales and marketing team through coaching and customer-centric strategies.Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers across Australian/New Zealand and international customers.Utilize high emotional intelligence to effectively manage strategic stakeholder relations.Ensure the exchange of expertise and insights across the company, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing.Apply expert-level knowledge of financial reports to make informed, strategic decisions.Qualifications and Experience:Possession of a tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business, Science, Technology, or Chemical Engineering.Intermediate to senior-level experience in Sales and Marketing within a sizable company.Proven key account management experience.Demonstrated commercial acumen and ability.Background in packaging, pulp, or paper industries.Prior experience in project management.Desirable:Additional tertiary qualification in business or postgraduate marketing/business studies.Preferred Personal Attributes:Strong interpersonal skills, motivation prowess, honesty, and unwavering character.Capacity for creative, conceptual, and logical thinking while remaining practical.Flexibility and effectiveness in operating at senior levels.Willingness and availability for international travel.Should this role be of interest, please Click Apply to explore this opportunity further!
