Intermediate Senior Advisor/Analyst

We are seeking proactive applications from experienced and skilled Senior Advisors/Analysts with a strong background in regulatory policy, operational policy, strategic policy, ministerial advisory, OIA support, and government advisory.
Senior Advisors and Analysts play a vital role in providing expert policy advice. Robert Walters is taking proactive applications for any future Policy and Machinery of Government opportunities for the organisations we work with.
We work with a range of organisations dedicated to shaping and implementing effective policy and advice. These organisations provide strategic guidance and ministerial advisory to a range of government agencies, local authorities, and crown entities across New Zealand.
Do you have experience in:
Providing strategic advice and guidance on regulatory policy development, implementation, and evaluation.
Conducting in-depth research and analysis to inform policy decisions and recommendations.
Developing and reviewing operational policies, procedures, and guidelines in alignment with legislative requirements.
Supporting ministerial advisory processes, including preparing briefing papers, reports, and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
Providing expertise in OIA (Official Information Act) support, ensuring compliance and timely responses to information requests.
Collaborating with government agencies, local authorities, and crown entities to understand their unique needs and deliver tailored policy solutions.
Contributing to the development of best practice frameworks, ensuring continuous improvement and innovation in policy implementation.
Staying informed about emerging policy trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments to inform strategic decision-making.
Demonstrated knowledge of New Zealand central, local, or crown entity agencies.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce high-quality reports, briefing papers, and policy documentation.
Proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Experience in project management and the ability to deliver results within tight deadlines.
