Intermediate/Senior Accountant

Job Description: Our client, an accounting firm located in Matamata, is currently seeking a highly skilled High Intermediate to Senior Accountant to join their team. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in various responsibilities vital to the firm's success. The Accountant will be responsible for:


Sorting client financial recordsCoding financial dataAddressing client queriesPreparing GST returnsCompiling work papers for annual accountsReviewing and preparing financial statementsCompleting Income Tax returnsFinalizing Financial Statements and Income Tax returns after partner reviewResolving ACC issues with clientsLiaising with the IRD regarding client affairsUndertaking ad hoc advisory tasks for clients as necessaryHandling miscellaneous office tasksQualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.Professional accounting not essential (CA)3-4 years of experience as an Intermediate Accountant.5+ years of experience in a senior accounting role.Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation.Proficiency in relevant accounting software.
