Intermediate Litigation Solicitor

PRLaw is a leading southern law firm delivering a wide scope of legal services and is the Crown Solicitor's Office for Southland (including Queenstown and Wanaka). We have a client-focused philosophy, providing a quality service and supporting our local communities.
We are responsible for prosecuting all serious crime throughout the Southland and Central Otago region. We act for and provide a range of criminal and regulatory enforcement services for public sector agencies.
We are seeking an Intermediate level solicitor to join our Crown team. Crown experience is an advantage but not essential.
You will:
Be a confident and capable litigator.
Have experience conducting criminal trials as lead counsel.
Possess strong analytical skills to tackle complex legal issues, paired with a practical problem-solving approach.
Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills—engaging effectively with people, actively listening, focusing on client needs, and fostering collaboration.
While the prosecution of criminal jury trials is a major part of this role, there will be a wide variety of other interesting and challenging work.
