We work on both high end residential and commercial projects across NZ.What We're Looking ForWe need a team player who's adaptable, innovative, and ready to jump in and add value. You'll collaborate closely with our Creative Director and Senior Designer. The aim of this role is to contribute as a team member to the design process as established for each project providing creative interior design solutions that meet client's requirements on all levels and in doing so exceed their overall expectation/s. This involves providing full design, documentation, specification, FF&E selection, budget & implementation services.To achieve this and succeed in our organisation an Interior Designer must have the skills, ability to manage core responsibilities and the key attributes as detailed below.Skills and CompetenciesCompetent in full interior design, consultation, design, visual and drawing skills, specification, pricing, project management, and implementation.Industry knowledge of fabrics, furnishing, finishes and window treatment selections, suppliers & pricing.Professional and competent in dealing with clients, suppliers and sub contractorsExperienced in creation, development and management of work flowSkilled in working independently yet able to be part of a high performing teamHigh level of drawing skills with proficiency in Autocad, Photoshop, Revitt (not essential), MS Office SuiteKey ResponsibilitiesDeveloping a project from brief to completion including but not exclusively to: client or senior staff member brief and ongoing meetings, sketch design, design development - materials/finishes, joinery, plumbing, & electrical through to furniture & fabric selections, documentation.Generate ideas/concepts and design/detailing/product selection for projectsLead or contribute to the generation of concepts and ideas for a projectComplete design detailing and product specificationContribute to design critiques and dialogue within the teamComplete site surveys as appropriateComplete design and construction documentation as appropriate for each projectSupport for senior designers with on time and on budget presentations and documentation materialInput into the design specification process including research for technical data and compliance to ensure fit for purpose specificationLiaising with suppliers and subcontractorsWorking with budgets, including pricingAssisting with installation of projects including onsite setup, lifting and shifting, cleaning and rubbish removal when requiredOther day-to-day tasks as requested by senior staffBuild and develop positive client interface where appropriate - Ensure any interactions or communications with clients are positive and professionalWhy Join Us?You'll be part of a supportive, creative team where your skills will shine.
