In this newly established position, you will play a key role in providing civil engineering and asset management support to the KDC roading team. You'll oversee asset and project workstreams, conduct pre- and post-audits to ensure road safety, and manage roading legalisation processes.
Key responsibilities include: Contributing to the development of land transport policies, strategies, and engineering standards; assist with bylaws and operations plans as required.Maintaining asset management data, conduct safety audits, investigate issues, develop footpath renewal priorities, and support the asset lead and traffic engineer.Assisting Project Managers with project planning and execution, ensuring alignment with skills and capabilities.Coordinating local and regional plans, enhance decision-making through collaboration, and participate in regional initiatives.Liaising with teams, contractors, and external organisations, promote road safety culture, and attend relevant forums and workshops.This is a permanent full-time position and can be based at either of our Mangawhai or Dargaville offices.

In addition, you will need:

The salary banding for this position is between $69,615 to $81,900 per annum (negotiable depending on skills and experience).
